Marc Policarpo, Gabriel Costa, Luís Caracinha and Ruben Azevedo have joined the Up This River project to bring us emblematic themes of the 60s and 70s to the stage.
A revivalist approach, but with contemporary features and sounds, the band invites us to a Journey to the source of some of the styles that still characterize international music today.
As if it were a Journey, we climbed the river from what we hear today on the radio and, in opposite direction, we reveal the origin of the current songs, many of them, pure re-interpretations of other times.
From Rock to Pop, R&B, American Funk and Folk, Up This River is characterized by its contagious rhythm and the need to move your feet throughout the repertoire, sing some songs or even, for the more adventurous, have a little dance.
Sometimes the quartet will be accompanied by guest musicians depending on the typology of the show and play themes from other, more current decades that have clearly been influencing the past.
